Maurizio Dallocchio
I was born on April 12, 1958. I have a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Bocconi University. I have served as Dean of the business school at Bocconi University and am a Full Professor of Corporate Finance. I have also studied at the London Business School and New York University, Stern School of Business, where I have also been a visiting scholar. I have taught and done research around the world (CEIBS Shanghai, IMD Lausanne, Stockholm School of Economics, London Business School, and others).
I am a licensed Public Accountant and Auditor. My research focus is mainly corporate finance, particularly corporate valuation, restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions.
I am a past chairman of the Audit Committee of the European Investment Bank (EIB). I have taken part in a number of privatizations, IPOs, and M&As. I am chair or member of the governance/control bodies of a number of private/public entities. In 1991, I founded a boutique consultancy (DGPA & Co.) with Luciano Avanzini, which today employs more than 20 professionals. I am also an active supporter of not-for-profit organizations. I have also finished the New York City Marathon 23 times in a row.
