Andrea Sironi

I am a Professor of Banking and Finance and the Vice President of Bocconi University. I was Rector from 2012 to 2016. Since January 2016, I have been chair of Borsa Italiana, the Italian stock exchange, and in May 2021 I became President of the Italian Foundation for Cancer Research (AIRC). I am also an independent non-executive director of the Intesa San Paolo Group.

I have held visiting positions at the Research and Statistics Division of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, DC, at the Salomon Brothers Center, Stern School of Business (NYU), and at Sciences Po, Paris. In the past, I have been a member of the BoD of the London Stock Exchange Group and of the Unicredit Group. At the beginning of my career, I was a financial analyst at the Chase Manhattan Bank in London.
